How
it works
The simplest
way to summarize our offering is to say that we give healthcare
providers the power of a bank, enabling them to easily establish
direct payment relationships through the Federal Reserve’s
electronic funds transfer system. This means
they can:
- Accept checks by phone
- Set up paperless payments
on a preset recurring schedule: bi-weekly, monthly, etc. (Funds
are withdrawn from patient accounts and direct deposited into
hospital accounts. All transactions are handled by a Texas
bank through the Federal Reserve ACH system.)
The system
is simple and intuitive, very easy for admissions or collections
staff to use. Proven scripts to guide conversations with
patients are available at a click of the button.Additional

- Costs nothing to hospitals
(minimal, ATM-level bank transaction fee to patient. No enrollment
fee for HealthShare/THA or Torch members who sign up before July 31,
2005.
Who
can use it?
CareEFT ® is designed
for use by medical providers, including hospitals, outpatient ambulatory
clinics, group practices and smaller practices. It can support
this range of sizes and types of organizations because it is built
around the 1-1 interactions between provider and patient. The
back-end systems that support it are scalable to accommodate a
virtually unlimited number of concurrent users.
While this technology is
easily adaptable to other kinds of organizations, Macro Doctor has
focused on delivering the maximum value- including scripts, support
and best practices development- to its health care clients.
How
to get started
The
process is simple. You
can enroll in the morning, and begin using CareEFT® by lunchtime. There
are two steps involved in getting started:
- Complete the online application
- Fill out a standard
ACH agreement fax it to MacroDoctor at
804/276-3668. Someone will be in touch with
you shortly after the fax to schedule training for your
staff.
Once
your information has been verified, you will receive an administrative
password and an electronic quick-start kit. A Macro Doctor
Representative will contact you to schedule a brief training/orientation
session for your staff.
